SatMine's long term vision and roadmap
SatMine believes in a strong, iterative approach to our long term vision and roadmap on Bitcoin. Below we have laid out our initial plan and strategy. We aim to ship new features quickly to provide our community with the best possible experience.
Phase 1 - The Genesis Collection
In our 1st phase, we released a 10k collection of our Genesis MRC721 called "SATMINE" - the deployment inscription can be found here. These NFTs constantly mine $SMC and represent the premier NFT collection associated with the SatMine ecosystem.
Our talented tech team has built an in house indexer to track all MRC721/MRC20 assets that users own. Your MRC721s now show correctly on our UI on the assets page, and next up we will show MRC20 assets. Our 2nd collection, BTC (https://satmine.io/inscribe?tick=BTC) will continue minting shortly.
Phase 2 - Launch your own MRC721!
The 2nd phase of our roadmap will unlock the ability for anyone to deploy their own custom MRC721 mining machine. Custom MRC721s with their own name, ticker, image, max supply etc will be able to be permissionlessly created by anyone on our UI. Creators can create custom mining machines for their communities, which they can use for governance, utility, or memes. The mineral protocol unlocks a novel Bitcoin token distribution system available for all.
Phase 3 - A comprehensive marketplace
SatMine will deliver a best in class marketplace, starting with the ability to trade MRC721s and MRC20s. The Bitcoin ecosystem UX is a tricky pain point and we aim to build trading functionalities that entirely optimize the user experience. Users will be able to smoothly buy and sell all mineral protocol assets. In the future, we will provide support for a wide range of other Bitcoin ecosystem assets that major marketplaces don't have the capacity or appetite to support.
Phase 4 - To infinity and beyond...
Satmine's new mineral meta protocol and marketplace only mark the beginning of our journey into the Bitcoin ecosystem. The Bitcoin ecosystem is still in a very nascent stage, with many new assets and protocols constantly springing up. We cannot reveal too much at this point, but our goal is to innovate on exotic Bitcoin asset infrastructure and provide fun, novel trading experiences for our community.
