A brief overview of how Mineral protocol works!

Based on Ordinals + BRC20

At its heart, mineral protocol uses Ordinal style inscriptions to create MRC721s and MRC20s. MRC721s are Ordinal NFTs, while MRC20s can be considered a variant of BRC20s (they inherit the same balance and transfer system as BRC20s).

Inscription Minting Mechanism

The Inscription minting mechanism is at the core of the Mineral protocol, allowing users to create NFT Inscription with computational capabilities by initiating Taproot transactions. MRC721s are inscribed (or "minted") on our website. MRC20s are also inscribed, but your account must have sufficient balance (accrued by simply holding MRC721s), prior to inscribing.

SatMine's In-house Indexer

SatMine has developed a custom in house indexer to track all MRC721 and MRC20 balances of our users. All MRC721s generate their corresponding MRC20 every single block until the total MRC20 supply has been reached. These exact parameters are defined in the initial deployment inscription of an MRC721 (such as this one).

Open Source Nature

The Mineral protocol adheres to open-source principles, providing a transparent and auditable technical implementation. This openness not only strengthens user trust but also offers developers and researchers the opportunity to participate and contribute collaboratively, driving the continuous evolution of the protocol.
